Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens;
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens;
Brown paper packages tied up with strings;
These are a few of my favorite things.

THE LO-DOWN
the official name of this stitch is vertical drop stitch, but we think it really looks like dancing rain drops! it’s basically a 2×2 rib rib stitch with a few yarnovers thrown in so as to achieve the drop stitch effect. it knits up quickly and is beautiful on both sides.
we’ve swatched this up over the weekend and have been playing around with what we’ll end up doing with it since . . . what about a parasol?
