kristen f. of skein australia has a fearless approach to colour and her top draw socks yarns is dyed on a soft and drapey merino/nylon base (superwash to boot!)
a few months back we started swatching the tilting block pattern out of her yarn, and well that lead to . . . a·na·ïs, an 88 inch long shawlette that can be draped every which way.
we named the scarf after Anaïs Nin — most famous for her Diary and treasured by us for some of her deeply felt musings, “row your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.” we were going for that feeling of unbounded possibility with this shawl.
anaïs is free with the purchase of skeins’ top draw socks yarn required (just 2 skeins!) to make the project. just write “anais” in the comments box and we’ll send you a hardcopy of the pattern. there’s no need to add the pattern into your cart to receive the offer.
